Do you know what to do for the rest of your life for a career?

What would pull together all the things you love to do? And make that dream job possible? 

For me, being a Paralegal...

       The professional title of "Paralegal" can be seen as many different positions within different career fields. Legal companies and offices are the most known place for a paralegal to work; however, they can hold other positions in medical, educational, and financial fields. 

      Personally, the legal companies are to be the ones I am sending my resume to. Although, never do I limit myself to being closed to other opportunities. Completion of the program at The State College of Florida gives a more understanding of the duties that a paralegal may have and how to work as a well equipped professional in the field. 

**Here is a little essay, if you have time, on my thoughts as a Paralegal and what the profession means to little old me!**

THE PARALEGAL GENERALLY "GENERALIZED"

Being a Paralegal goes beyond the traditional definition that people seem to define this position; general speaking most of the world would tell you that it is all about making motions for the attorney and being in court taking notes as he goes about his trials. However, a Paralegal can be in legal field and other non-related fields where the position is all the same and defined in a more boarder spectrum then others realize. It is about multi-tasking in a way that one does not multi-task... Know what you are doing, do it with concentration, do it right, check it over, and go back/ forth as many times with, no hesitation, as many times as perfect takes for filing of what not document.

The things that people need done are the most important things in their lives and this requires you to be on that same level. Medical fields can consider a person a Paralegal if they are the front desk of the ER intake. Dentist offices, Chiropractic offices, the library, school offices, and even working alongside a Congress man or the President is work that can be seen as examples of someone doing Paraprofessional work.

It also is a title that people can be seen doing and required to do things that are not concrete written roles; in other words, it is a role requires flexibility and adjustable mind frame and requires one to “read in-between the lines with” what they are expected to do. The main concept is that the Paralegal working for any attorney is the one who works as the gears to the well-oiled machine the attorney is acting as. Society, the employer, other employees, other companies should see that “this person” chosen for the role of a Paralegal fits the description to the maximum detail. Imperative that the person is one that holds a high “ethical” regards to their personal as they do to their professional life.
